Do you wear prescription eyewear and feel your vision is not as crisp as it used to be? Or do you see perfectly fine, but just want a check up to make sure your eyes are healthy? We can help!
A routine eye exam will allow Dr. Langer to check your eyes for any change in glasses prescription and perform an ocular health screening. This health check will screen for common eye diseases, such as glaucoma, dry eyes, and macular degeneration. If any health issues are found, medical treatment can be initiated. For certain eye diseases, early diagnosis and treatment can prevent future vision loss.
We also perform annual contact lens evaluations for patients wearing or interested in wearing contact lenses. During a contact lens evaluation, contact lenses are examined to ensure they are fitting correctly, and prescription power adjustments are made when needed. We also look for signs of allergic reactions or redness caused by ill-fitting contacts, and make changes to contact lens materials and brands when necessary. Additionally, we will inform interested patients about the latest advancements in contact lens technologies and products, to give patients the option to upgrade to potentially more comfortable contact lenses. Of course, if you are happy with your current contact lenses and they are fitting well, we can renew your prescription for your preferred brand of contacts. For more information on the contact lens products we carry, see our contact lens page.
If you are interested in wearing contact lenses but haven’t tried them before, we have experts on staff who can train you on how to insert and remove contacts, and how to properly care for them.
We recommend annual routine eye exams for adults and children ages 5 and up. We also recommend annual contact lens evaluations for all patients wearing contact lenses. Contact lens evaluations can be performed during the same appointment as your routine eye exam. Call us at 512-596-5544 to schedule an appointment today!
